I wasn't expecting to be finding flights so early.

Wishing everyone on this thread finds a deal they're happy with. Good luck
We have done the same for next year. We are driving from Durham to Edinburgh morning of our flight. Bought reward seats so turned out to be a bargain . I had enough points for 2 seats and had to buy some points for the third seat so worked out less that £1000 for 3 Orlando flights in August.

Prices are still eye watering for next year. Waiting impatiently for them to come down… 🧐

Yeah I agree... I am hoping my usual time of looking in the BA sale on boxing day and adding some hotels will bring something 1/2 decent

I was able to purchase 170,000 points for £1,515, which covered most of our flights for our summer trip. We're planning to fly out at the end of July for a four-week stay. The flights for five of us—three adults, one young adult, and one child with luggage—cost 135,000 points plus an additional £1,280 in cash for round-trip flights in and out of Miami. Altogether, that works out to around £2,481, or approximately £497 per person. Not bad! We were originally planning to drive down to Miami for a few days, but now we might just spend a few days there at the beginning or end of the trip.

We purchased our flights last night with Aer Lingus. They dropped quite a bit and for the first time since release. Dub to MCO for 3100€ for 2 adults 2 children so around 775 € per person (8th to 22nd August).

For late August next year for the 3 of us I haven’t seen it drop below £1200 each direct from Manchester which is with Air Lingus and with hold baggage.

TUI is an option but at the moment their flights mean we’d have to stay 7 nights and we’ve already got 6 booked across a couple of Universal hotels. Add £’s for hold baggage as well and it’s not worth going with them as it becomes more.

Getting a bit twitchy about it.

I'm seeing £2400 direct for 3 adults with hold baggage leaving around the 20th August with virgin ...that is for 2 weeks

That's because the return is when the kids are back in school.

If the dates go outside the School holidays it's comparing apples and oranges.

We jumped on the "Tuesday night" fares, just under 3800 for 3 adults and a child at the back end of the holidays, but back in time for school. Could have reduced that to under 3600, but we paid about £50 pp to be on the direct outbound.
