Kennedy Space Centre launches

I'm hoping to keep this thread up to date with any launches from Kennedy Space Centre. If you are lucky you may be in KSC on the day but it is possible to watch from Cocoa Beach, Titusville or Playalinda Beach - even if you are in the Orlando area look up to the skies on launch day at the time its due you should be lucky enough to see something from a distance if the weather is good and it is even better at night,.

If you are interested in trying to spot a launch there are numerous apps you can use to track what is to be launched and when.

I have been very lucky and have been on site at very close quarters to see many launches (thanks to Boeing) - most recently the Falcon Heavy Europa Clipper on 14th October.

So here goes for the next couple of days

Sunday 10th November
Space X
Launch Window - 4.28PM to 8:28 PM EST
Launch Pad - Space Launch Complex 40

Monday 11th November
Space X Falcon 9 KOREASAT 6
Launch Window - 12:07 PM - 4:07 PM EST
Launch Pad - Launch Complex 39A Success

We watched a launch at 3am from Port Orleans, you could definitely see it go up! There was another launch a few days later early evening so we got an Uber to the Marriott Titusville and went to the rooftop bar to watch, that was better obviously as closer just across the water!

Great idea for a thread. We saw two launches last year from the rosen at pointe . Don't forget to watch for the boosters returning.

Great tip jasper

If the sky is clear and you have patience then yes you can see the boosters come back down and it is an amazing sight. There really is something special about night launches and I can still remember my first Shuttle night launch.

I hope everyone can post here about the latest launches - so Eyes to the Skies

Launch today was delayed. We were at Kennedy today and hoped to see it launch (have seen others but always like to watch a launch). It went from after 4pm to just before 7pm after the centre was closed and it was dark.

What a shame it is always frustrating when that happens. If you are there again and the space centre is shut there is a great view from space park in Titusville. Had a great view from there in September.

It was very frustrating yesterday as we had wanted to video it for the twins. One is space crazy so were hoping for him to be able to see a video of a launch. Over the years we have seen several launches from space park and still enjoy seeing them go up.

Oh this is so exciting, and a bit of a coincidence, as I spent the afternoon searching dates for our trip next July, just a couple of days ago.

Although we're ages away, we will be passing the Space Centre, and I was hoping we could time it with a launch, but its a long way off for that yet I see.

Will be following with interest - some great tips already, thanks
