Window moisture absorbers
Does anyone use these please? Can you recommend a good one for daily use!?
Just can't get rid of the condensation in our old house - so I'm hoovering the windows each morning but it's an ongoing battle! |

I woke up in the night and was looking at these - the refills look quite expensive - as above, how many units do you think are needed? One per room affected? And how long before a refill is required please, from your experience?

I use unibond aero 360, I have 4 around the house and put new tablets in every other month in winter. They last longer in the summer months.

Yes I was looking at this too as it happens! They seem a bit more cost effective ... if they work !

They work for me, it’s surprising just how much water they collect. We do still get moisture in the windows on cold days but not as much.
We also use an electric dehumidifier on the landing too so the unibond ones are just in the places where we seem to get the most moisture on the walls. I always wipe any moisture away in the morning with an old flannel or use a window vac. I don’t think there’s anyway of stopping it completely when it’s cold. |

as mentioned in another thread, i have a couple of these for use in my car in winter, and i'm happy with the results. they 'recharge' by heating up the silica gel balls inside and drying them out for use over and over
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aironic-Rec...f_=as_li_ss_tl looking up the absodry duo thing, it seems like the same sort of thing, but not rechargeable... |
