Thanks for all off the tips.

We have a travel buggy that we’re bringing that fits in the overhead compartment of the plane so that will be very handy. We have a sheepskin liner for his proper buggy but didn’t even think to bring it so will definitely se did it fits his travel buggy to keep him cool/warm and help him get used to the other buggy.

@tigerlily8 thanks for the pop it suggestion. They had them in his baby class and he loved them so will definitely get one.

Will 100% make use of the baby care centres. He hates the changing tables they have in bathrooms and I may be wrong but I think they aren’t in cubicles just out in the main part of the reatrooms where the sinks are (?) so will be nice to have somewhere more baby friendly and private to wrestle his nappy on to him 😂

Hi
Although a long while ago now since my little girl was that age when we took her at 12 months one thing we did bring in addition to lots of the suggestions here, was an extended sunshade for the pushchair, similiar to this

it folded up small and was easy to transport.
Also a tommee tippee placemat with a suction bowl for eating out and as her pushchair didn't have a tray across the front I got a clip on snack tray.

Yes, you are right re the location of the baby change in the main restrooms. I actually found this really convenient as the space to change is large as so no worries about babies/toddlers rolling off or being too big for the space. The baby centres are brilliant though - I used them a lot to heat up stage 4 meals for my 15m old and then transferred them to a chilllys insulated food pot so it would keep warm round the parks.

Big tip - do not bring any sentimental soft toy or baby comforter (unless you have multiples of it). It’s hard when thibgs like these get lost.

Also big yes to baby centres. Lovely bit of cooldown and calm in the parks.

I’ve actually been looking for another Jellycat sloth so he can take his with him. Unfortunately they seem to be sold out everywhere 😬 He’s not super attached to it yet but he does use it when he naps.

Few things that others have mentioned that I agree with!

Pram fan (with the charger!)
Calpol
Ear defenders (we brought them but didn't use them as apparently fireworks don't wake my children, but me trying to browse the shops afterwards did )
Disposable bibs so they don't take up space and you can throw them out

I'd also recommend pram clips so that you can use them for a muslin over the hood. You're not supposed to do this, but we had the fans on in the pram at the same time, and the muslin wasn't covering the sides, it was just to keep the sun out of their faces (in our double pram) if they were trying to get to sleep. My 2.5 year old got a bit emotional when she was tired and the sun was in her eyes, and insisted on the 'blanket' being put over so that she could sleep.

Also definitely remember a good nappy cream! When we went when my daughter was 7 months she got a bad nappy rash because she was warm and sweaty and I ended up having to use instacart to get some delivered to the hotel. I'd just brought bepanthem with us, but needed a stronger one in the end, so that's always on my list now.

Socks if it's a baby to stop their feet getting burnt as they won't be wearing shoes yet. And also if you need to do any sterilising, we had microwave sterilising bags tht took up zero room in the case and were easy to use.

Edit to add: Also a big, non plastic, reusable bag from the likes of Asda, Tesco. For when you're having to fold up the pram to get onto the bus. Just throw it all in the bag and then it's much easier to fold down and have all your stuff together.
