Pooh Corner, Ashdown Forest, Anyone been

So DD16 announced last night that she’d like to visit Pooh Corner and the real life 100 Acre Wood.

She tried selling to me as a new photography location, which in fairness was a good point.

So has anybody been, I understand the forest has plenty of car parks, are there any near Pooh Corner (shop, museum)

Anything I need to know?

Google maps is your friend Wazza. We went many many years ago. I have no idea if/how it has changed since then. But I would say, definitely worth a visit.

Loved it! Played Pooh sticks on the bridge ( I won - just saying!). It’s lovely just for a walk about too, although we went in January and it was cold. We just parked at the first car park we found, but it wasn’t busy. There is a little shop in the village where Christopher Robin used to buy his sweets.

Yes. Been twice.

It's fabulous (but then WtP is my hero 😂&#128514.

There's a fabulous cafe/shop too but best to book your table in advance as evrn on a rainy day in July we could only get a table outside (too cold though!)

You can hunt owls house etc & as its in the woods there's plenty of wood for sticks!

I used to live in Haywards Heath and it wasn’t very far from us so we often went and have a picnic.
Lovely part of the world

We went a few years back - it was a nice place to wander round and cool knowing that you were in the hundred acre woods! The tea room is definitely worth a visit - you have to order the pooh shaped toast!

We parked at the Chuck Hatch car park and it was a short walk down to the bridge - it's around a 2 mile drive from the tea room which is on Hartfield high street.

It’s nice for a walk. Cute shop there.
A few nice pubs around for lunch.
We found a nice cafe for brunch too.
