Bit late to find this set of threads but looking forward to getting ideas for future reads.

I wouldn't be able to take advantage of Kindle Unlimited but I do look for Kindle 99p deals. My latest purchases were Claire Douglas The Wrong Sister and Victoria Hislop The Figurine. I've now got a full set of LJ Ross books too.

I envy you reading the LJ Ross books - what a series! I couldn't put them down and it helped that all the locations were in the N.E. so I could imagine them.

The last DCI Ryan one " Death Rocks" was so good and what an ending. Talk about a cliff hanger.

Kristin Hannah, absolutely amazing author - working my way through her list. Four Winds, The Great Alone, Home Front and Nightingale - AMAZING!

I started the sarah Maas "A court of..." series. Read the first 2. I prefer Thr Fourth Wing. But I'm enjoying then enough to have bought book 3 and 4.

I finally read King of Scars from Leigh Bardargo (part of the Shadow and Bone thing). Just got one more to read.

Thanks for the recommendations!

A good website is ereaderiq. You can track individual books or authors. It tracks the price on kindle & let's you know when it reduces to whatever price you choose. I usually set it for £2 & under.

After 14 years of kindle I've moved to kobo. Bonus it I can borrow library ebooks, magazines & audiobooks on it. Plus I can still read my old kindle books (they need a PC to transfer though) & kobo will price match kindle prices supposedly.

All the colours of the dark by Chris Whitaker is a 99p deal on kobo & kindle.

This sounds a really intreaging thriller that's going to be featured on the first episode of between the covers on BBC2

Pleased to see some other LJ Ross fans on here - I've read the Poison Garden and it is edge of the seat stuff but I had to re read Death Rocks again first.

For anyone interested in historical fiction I can recommend Nathaniel's Nutmeg which is based on a true story about spice and the East Indies. It's a bargain on Amazon Kindle too at the moment 99p.

Currently reading Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Really enjoying it so far.

I’ve read a few excellent books over the summer. Three of the best are Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver and Happy Place by Emily Henry.

Also slightly different as they’re fact not fiction, I’d recommend Raynor Winn’s Salt Path, Wild Silence and Landlines. They’re autobiography/travel/inspirational books. They follow Raynor and her husband Moth on their journey around the UK after they find themselves homeless and he is diagnosed with a terminal illnesses
