I'm currently reading The Diaries of Franz Kafka - really enjoying it. There are stories in-between his diary entries that he started to write as ideas for books but didn't ever finish or get further than a few pages. Such a shame as some of them are brilliant & would have been brilliant novels I think.

That’s the one I’m looking at it’s for holidayand times I need to have a book in large print on a stand that one touch changes the page if I’m in a flare as I like to use the local library physically so it doesn’t shut , and our villa is awash with books

Does it have to be a Kindle?

I know it's hard to leave amazon (I started 14 years ago & had a 12 year old paperwhite until a couple of months ago!) but the benefits outwayed it for me.

I got a 7" kobo libra colour for £200. Slightly bigger than the kindle signature, same storage space but this has a colour display, Google drive access (stick books in your Google drive & they sync to the kobo) & even better, overdrive, which means I can borrow books from a library for free!

As for my 500+ kindle books, I downloaded them to a PC & have used a program called calibre to copy them over to the kobo.

Our ladies book club is reading All The Broken Pieces by John Boyne. It's the sequel to The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. It's a really good read, following the sister's life and fills in a lot of the gaps in the story of the family.

Thanks for the recommendations!
I’ve just finished the ‘a court of’ series and really enjoyed it. I haven’t read books for a long time due to being busy working etc. Someone at work recommended them so thought I’d give them a go and really pleased I did.

I’ve just ordered the fourth wing so am hoping I enjoy that one just as much.
