The loaded baked potato looks delicious, I could have just that and some vegetables 😋
Glad you managed a final ride on TSM 👍

Cold pizza for breakfast and a night blossom in the afternoon sounds like a perfect day to me. (Other meals looked good too - but they sound like the icing on the cake!)

Hope you are having a fabulous cruise! Spotted that pongo lumpia on the Pandora menu - that may be one to try next trip 😄👌

Day 12

We’re (sadly &#128557 back at home now so I’m going to finish off my report.

Day 12 (Friday) started off slowly as our final Disney day. We hadn’t yet tried the birthday cake from Tuesday, so I had a slice in the room.

We bought it from Walmart, I think it was less than $7. It was nice cake, the sponge was soft and the icing wasn’t too overpowering. One we would pick up again.

We headed to Walmart to pick up some final last minute requests and snacks, including 2 more cookie choices to add to my experiment of finding the best cookie!

This was our haul -

Plus some Christmas decorations we picked up -

These were the two cookies added to my list -

Total came to $67.14.

From Walmart, we decided to head to KeKe’s.

As we arrived so late we had the choice of eating from the lunch section of the menu -

DH had coffee (refills included) and I had a lemonade.

DH chose the 2 eggs your way and added a side of bacon and a side of sausage (not photographed).

I fancied the club sandwich but also a salad so decided to order both and just box up when I didn’t eat.

I loved the huge pickle that came with the sandwich!

I ate half of the club sandwich and then boxed up the other half and the crisps and ate my salad.

The sandwich was excellent, I enjoyed it more than the one at Grand Floridian Cafe. The salad was nice, but the one at our resort was just as nice.

Total came to $70.68 including tax and tip.

It was an expensive brunch, although DH’s sides of sausage and bacon were expensive and I had two mains so to be expected.

We had good service and we enjoyed our food.

We headed back to the hotel and got ready and headed to Typhoon Lagoon. We went on some slides and floated around the lazy river soaking it all in.

When we came to leave I spotted someone with some Dippin Dots and decided to try them.

I chose the regular rainbow ones for $7.49. The lady said they were fruity. I absolutely loved them. You had to eat them in a certain way as they were so sticky and cold, but they were delicious! Highly recommend.

We got back to the hotel and packed up everything for the last time before getting ready for our Halloween party.

The plan was to head to Epcot as I wanted a photo with the new Walt statue and then catch the monorail over to MK.

Then plan worked well, there was no line at the Walt statue and we got to go around the new Moana area which we really enjoyed.

We got into MK around 6pm and picked up our trick or treat bags before heading to Starbucks for one last strawberry acai of the trip 😭

Total for 2 drinks $12.01

We sat in front of the ice cream parlour and drank them admiring the costumes of people walking past us.

We decided to head to Buzz and then hang around Cosmic Rays to pick up the special chicken burger for the party.

We managed to order and pick up at Burgers at 6.45 so 15 minutes before the party started.

We both had the spicy chicken burger and I picked up a fountain soda.

Total came to $31.79.

I took the jalapeño poppers off the burger as I wasn’t keen on those. We both loved the burger, it wasn’t too spicy at all, but it was flavourful, not dry and the sticky sauce was lovely. I’d recommend this burger if you are going to the party.

We decided our priorities for the party were to ride our favourite rides, watch the parade and the fireworks and trick or treat when there was a station we were waking past.

We did just that… we managed to do buzz, seven dwarfs, big thunder and haunted mansion.

We watched the first parade which was busy but we got a space behind a closed off drinks cart so had a good view despite only arriving 5 minutes before it started.

We did quite a lot of trick or treating in the end, although I think we only went through the same queue twice. In some of the queues there were villains which we hadn’t experienced before and was fun.

We arrived for the firework show around 45 minutes before it started (although I spent most of that time in the queue at the cole cream parlour) so we had a great view and where we stood (to the left of the grass hub in front of the ice cream parlour) wasn’t too crowded at all. We loved the show although I expected it to be a little longer.

During the course of the evening we stopped for a dole whip (DH) and a POG juice (me).

A strawberry lemonade slushy from Friar Nook (sooo good) for me.

And a two scoop mint choc chip ice cream (for me). Also excellent!

We left the party around 11.30pm half an hour before the end doing everything we wanted to do.

I’m so glad we booked tickets. We had a fabulous time and had a good mix of a little bit of everything during our party time.

This was our trick or treat haul -

We should have weighed in as it felt like a tonne. I put it in my hand luggage pull along to bring it home. We have given some to my parents and DH will take the rest to work on Tuesday.

That marks the end of our Disney days.

I can’t believe just how fast it went. The days literally fled by. We had the best time though. We loved French Quarter, were pleasantly surprised with the weather despite a couple of bad days to start with, we enjoyed the majority of our food and drink and felt like we had a good mix of park time and time away from the parks.

Will do highs and lows, but a couple of things we wouldn’t do again are Ohana and Discovery Cove.

We went to bed on day 12 excited for our cruise with the feeling of going on a whole new trip ahead.

Thanks for reading!

Adventure of the Seas

Day 13 started with us leaving Disney.

Our check in time for the cruise was 11am, however, we didn’t leave Disney until around 10.30am. We weren’t hounded by Mousekeeping like last time to leave the room, in fact they never ever knocked the room.

I picked up the Ghoulish Beignets for my breakfast, they were so delicious. DH ate the leftover club sandwich and crisps from KeKe’s for his breakfast.

Dropping off our car to Alamo and getting to the ship was straightforward and we were soon on board having a beer and a daiquiri - Cheers!

I will include a sample of the food we had at lunch and evenings in the main dining room.

Overall we found the choice to be excellent, there were a couple of options we could have chosen each night and our food was served hot (not always the case). Our servers (Tanita and Kadek) were very efficient and our waitress was quite honest in telling us if a choice we made wasn’t the best option.

Here’s a sample of the food we had -

DH - crab cake / prime rib / key lime pie

Me - tomato soup / curry / key lime pie

Lunch menu -

DH - soup / steak frites / key lime pie

Me - chicken Caesar salad / chicken burger / fruit plate

DH - calamari / seafood linguine / cheese plate

Me - French onion soup / beef bourgignion / cobbler

DH - jumbo shrimp / tiger shrimp / carrot cake

Me - tacos / jerk chicken / pineapple cake

Overall some excellent food!

Our cruise days went just as quickly as our Disney days and we blinked and our holiday was over.

We had a lovely time, it was great to relax properly after Disney and before going home. We caught up on a lot of sleep, we had two beach days and did a snorkelling trip. We could have easily stayed for another week but now we’re back home with our dog who was very pleased to see us 🥰

The cruise at the end of your Disney stay sounds very relaxing and the perfect way to wind down after the hectic park time.

I didn’t like the chicken burger at MNSSHP, I didn’t like the sauce but enjoyed the popper so clearly you and I are opposites. 😂

I’m gutted we had to cancel our Disney cruise in 2020 cos it took me ages to convince DH to go on one and he’s even more against it post covid. 🥲 the cruise food looks great!

The food on the cruise looked very nice. (Especially the key lime pie…). You had great food options at MNSSP too, the chicken burger looked yum and a good haul of sweets. We’re thinking of booking next year, not done for some years.
Sorry your holiday is over, I’m a bit behind with a few posts I think (Work has been busy !).
Looking forward to hearing about your future plans x
