Stolen Nectar points

This is something I’ve never encountered before.
I just checked my Nectar app balance to see if some bonus points had been added to find somebody cleared out my account last night! In Derbyshire, which is the other end of the country to me.
We always use these for our Xmas food shop so I hope it’s refunded.
Anyone had this happen? It wasn’t a small sum so they clearly knew how much there was in advance of their haul. They spent an additional £1 as they kindly earned me an extra point…

It's really common. I don't save many so not me, but friends have lost hundreds of pounds worth

I had similar happen on my Morrisons card a few years ago- Morrisons didn’t want to know so I hope Nectar are better for you.
It’s really upsetting. Mine too were used in a totally different part of the country and it was a significant amount that I’d been saving for Christmas.

Happened to me 2 weeks ago, contacted Nectar via X and it was sorted within 2 hours with a new card on route and points refunded. I had £35 taken from my account. First thing I did was log into my account and changed my password

I’d better change my password but couldn’t see how to do that in the app just now. Will check on my walk to work.
Cheeky so and so’s. It was over £300!

I've had this, someone in London took my points. I contacted Nectar via Twitter and they sorted it out very quickly

Fingers crossed that nectar seen to be good at refunding, hope you get them back!

I have heard of this before.

We get ours to automatically convert to Avios, thus there are never many Nectar points to steal

Tbh, I have never heard of this. How are they accessing your account?

I had this too and Nectar were excellent and sorted a new card and points right away. I now don't let it get past £15 before using it up.
