Maybe I didn't look often enough last year but I didn't think BA's flight prices for August 2025 looked too bad so far compared to 2024 prices.

Currently the flight prices in Aug 25 BA - MCO are around £900 p/person (based on 2a2c standard economy).

Doesn’t feel like a great deal, but also doesn’t feel hideous like the Easter 25 flights when they came out.

Norse

Norse flights look really good value. My only concern is their financial stability, is that just speculation ?

I've booked Norse flights for next year but now wish I hadn't, didn't review them before booking 🙄 I'm on a few Norse FB groups, some people are saying they'll be under by winter! The other thing is that they don't have a phone line for help, only email or social media. Also, if they cancel a flight, they have never put anyone on a different airlines' flight to get to the location, only on their own and so if they cancel before the day your holiday would need to be put ahead or behind, and if on the day it could be days later. Apparently they aren't a member of the organisation that says you have to do this? Anecdotal evidence on the groups says they have never done this.
Also they are terrible for paying compensation or getting a refund, you basically have to take them to small claims court most of the time to get any money back.

I am going to book a 1 night hotel and flight booking when they come out and pay a deposit, and use that. Will have to take it on the chin with Norse, and hope they do go under so I can get a refund through my travel insurance 🙈

Here is the article featured in TTG (Travel Trade Gazette) last week.

Did the Easter 2025 flights come down in price at any point after their release?
I don’t know whether to book now for August 2025, at what seems like a high price (and seems to be going up by the hour!) or wait to see if they go down?

It's a really tricky situation isn't it. My flights release with BA this week, and I'm already in a mild panic attack wondering what best to do.

Back in March I started building a spreadsheet tracking prices, but it became impossible to manage, taking me hours to update on every day.

Did the prices come down? Well kinda, but I think that's because they were incorrectly priced in the first place. For example return flights, LGW - MCO for a 2 week break, starting on dates from 27th March 25, all of the way through to 2 weeks starting from 12th April were coming to between £1,600 and £1,300 p/person. Which I think is crazy.

But then suddenly on 17th May those fares all dropped down to £900 p/person. It was strange how it happened, because the drop happened on 17th May for all date ranges, so this wasn't a case of the prices dropping say 20 or 30 days into release.

Then after that initial price change, they've slowly climbed again since then.

With Aug 25 prices, will there be another "May 17th" price realignment? We don't know, my gut feel is maybe not, as whilst they're not cheap at the moment, they don't feel extortionate either, like the £1,600 p/person Easter flights did.

I can't really give advice on what to do in your situation, but I think at the moment my plan is to buy my flights as soon as I can, and then never look at the website again!

Really!

I've nothing but praise for our return flights into MCO in August. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the price was right.

just something to consider - We are just back after flying LGW -> TPA - the prices didn't really change on BA from around £1200 - £1400 economy which made me mad! I had no choice on dates (family celebration event) - but I went onto AA website using VPN to USA - the exact same flights with BA on the US AA site (partner) were $800 (with all checked luggage etc) as opposed to £1350 on BA. So i booked through AA. Got my confirmation booking ref including BA ref - and from that point on was all BA driven. Saved a fortune for 8 adults - just have a look - it works and I dont understand why, but 1350 quid as opposed to 700 quid was a bargain.

Today Norse have said they have sold more tickets this year so far than last year in total.
They have also added a cabin bag for free to all light fares.
Most reviews are very good.

British airways for next August - prices are fluctuating like crazy by the hour.
