Hey, thanks for this! I am currently at home after chemo round 4 was abandoned due to an infection in my picc line which had to be removed. I also had low haemoglobin so had a couple of units of blood while in hospital and some IV antibiotics then home on Friday with oral antibiotics which I am on until Sunday. Due to go to DLP next week so had bloods today to check my HB again and my white count and hope all is ok and I can start to look forward to it a bit more and assume I will stay stable but I have learnt I can get sick so quickly it’s a bit of a worry.
The brain tumours are also progressing and causing me lots of dizziness and strange feeling in my head. Sometimes I get really dizzy and my knees are literally knocking so it’s quite scary getting myself around as I don’t want to have another fall.
Round 5 of chemo will be straight after DLP once my line is reinserted and then I only have round 6 and have had the max of this chemo. They can offer another which is generally less effective but could help but I need to assess the brain tumours when the time comes. I want to know if I can have more radiotherapy on my head but if I can’t then more chemo may be futile?
Either way I have mostly made peace with it all with the occasional melt down!

Danisleigh you are so incredibly brave ❤️ I’ve not posted on here much lately -we ve been going through our own cancer journey.I can only imagine a snippet of what you are all going through.One of your posts about making memories and not regretting the money spent inspired me and dh to pull our Disney trip forward to this year! So thank you 🥰

Cruella - I know what you mean. There have been a few things recently that have made me realise just how short and fragile life is.

You have gone and are going through so much, I hope and pray that blood transfusion has done the trick and that you get to DLP next week.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who gives my head a good shake when I read your post and tells myself to stop complaining about things that absolutely don’t matter, and take heed of your very wise words about making memories.

I know you will let us know how you get on, and I’m sure you have gathered by now there are so many of us who have you in our thoughts constantly.
