Virgin economy food
Sorry if this has been asked before, the search function on mobile doesn't appear to be working. What's the current food offerings on the Manchester to Orlando and back route. Flying in 2 weeks.

We were offered Mac and Cheese or BBQ chicken on the way out, this was the mac and cheese:
A veg lolly that I didn't think was so bad, but is hated by most on the DIBB. Then afternoon tea. Sorry not sure what was offered on the way back - hopefully someone else will answer.

That Mac n cheese looks like it’s gone mouldy on top. What on earth have they put on it?

I had the mac n cheese in April. It wasn't horrendous! Over done pasta of course as expected on a plane but tasted OK.

The economy offerings are terrible and anything edible such as tomato pasta or macc & cheese will go quickly usually leaving something odd like pork stew.
No beef on Virgin planes due to environmental reasons which is surprising. |

We flew Edi - Mco and had the same outbound as above, return was cheese/tomato pasta or chicken curry, we also had a vanilla yoghurt and flapjack later on.

Breakfast on the way back the other day was shocking to say the least.
Cranberry oat bar and plain yogurt. That was it! Was the worst plane food we have had! (veg option was slightly better as had a fruit pot also!) |

Oh no these meals sound terrible. We flew premium home back in 2021 ( end of covid times ) and we got served last and they ran out of food. I ended up with some awful over cooked salmon but my husband who doesn’t eat fish didn’t get anything and was offered a packet of crisps. I’m not even kidding! I complained when we got home and got no reply. So maybe mouldy looking mac and cheese might be ok this time ha ha 😝
My expectations have lowered greatly 😜
