Oh Helen I glutened myself Monday. Was so pleased with myself as I made a lazy but really nice chicken supreme using Condensed soup. I was sure I read their soups were gluten free, but turns out I was wrong. It's not hard to make soup without flour for goodness sake.
Sorry not trying to merail your thread |

If you like shopping Gryff, the York designer shopping outlet is just up the road, it's quite good.

I know Sue I love clam chowder but dare not eat it unless I make it myself for the same reason as I’ve said before I’m not celiac but definitely getting more and more gluten sensitive Campbells did make gluten free soups but I’ve not seen them anywhere for ages

The Shambles, Stonegate & vicinity have the most interesting shops imo. The Christmas shop has really old fireplaces!
Lots of river boat trip options. - like jazz cruises etc The Grand Opera House has some great shows & Rustique, just round the corner, is our fav restaurant. Fairfax House & Jorvik are also close by if you want to combine attractions. Also in that area is the Van Gogh exhibition. Pay the extra for theVR experience. Go early if possible. The Merchant Adventurers Hall is agood place for a ‘pit stop’. Old structure. Toilets! & a nice little cafe (run by volunteers) & it’s never been busy when we’ve gone. Sorry, don’t know about guide dogs but I’ve been told that York is dog friendly. York Designer Outlet is about 15min drive from York centre. Castle Howard is about 30mins drive. |
