It’s travel day 🥳🥳🥳
Now, would it be an Amber & Will travel day without a little disaster to start the day?! 😂 In the name of our budget trip, we chose not to get a hotel at Heathrow last night and instead drive down this morning. So, we woke up at 3:50am and set off by 4:30am… all going well… until we realised we’d started our Tesla via our phone app without actually having the car key with us. 🙈 So, our lovely pre-booked meet and greet Maple Parking was useless! 😭 We thought about turning around but we were too far into the journey and would’ve missed the flight, so I decided to call Maple instead who were super helpful and gave us the address of their ‘pound’ where all the cars are kept and let us drop it off to them directly. Phew! We then had to get an £11 Uber to Terminal 3 (which I’m not looking forward to doing on the return!). Luckily it all worked out okay and the queues for security were not too bad. We’re now waiting at the gate to board, but the flight is around 20 minutes late due to the inbound flight being delayed. See you on the other side! 😍
