Have a great trip! We love Aventura, we’ve always stayed at Royal Pacific but their prices are extortionate now. We’ve just had a two night stay there ( two rooms) and the rooms were best part of £500 each per night, ( Travel Republic) probably as it was the last Horror nights weekend.

We stayed at Aventura in August and love the location, we always walk to the parks, though we were the opposite and asked for rooms away from the bar as we are normally in bed by 10!

We have Aventura booked for May and October next year!

I was really impressed with Maple today, it made me pleased we’d booked with them! X

This is our first time at Aventura but we’ve done both Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls before - I think we will definitely be using the Sapphire pool this trip, I love it and it’s so close!

I agree with you on some of the express pass hotel prices, we definitely found they were expensive when we checked for this trip, I think because we’re checking in on Halloween perhaps. We got a good deal on the Hard Rock in 2021 but haven’t stayed at an express pass hotel since then!

Woooo, we’ve landed in Orlando! 🤩

The flight was pretty good, we took off almost an hour late in the end, but we made up really good time with a short flight time of just over 8 hours, so we ended up landing ahead of schedule at 13.50. 😀 At the moment, there’s just a 4 hour time difference with the UK until Florida change their clocks this weekend coming.

We were in economy and there were plenty of drinks served throughout the flight. I just took a photo of my first round which was rum and orange juice, with a packet of bbq crunchy corn nibbles. These were okay but I’d much rather have those nice pretzels!

Lunch followed shortly after at around 11am, with options of sausage and mash, or tomato pasta. We both opted for the sausage and mash. This was actually pretty good as far as plane food goes (the photo makes it look worse than it was!). I didn’t eat the salad, but the chocolate pot was a nice dessert too. Annoyingly my table was a bit broken though and my tray kept sliding towards me unless I held it! So it was quite difficult to eat, but I managed.

A few hours later we had one of the vegetable ice lollies each. I know these have been a bit controversial on thedibb, but I thought this was fine and Will actually very much liked it!

With just over an hour to go until landing I was absolutely starving and wondering if they were going to feed us again! Eventually they did come round with afternoon tea, but I had expected it a bit earlier in the flight as we literally had time to eat it, have it cleared and then we were landing!

The afternoon tea included a cream cheese sandwich, a cheddar cheese with apricot chutney sandwich, a monty bojangles truffle (yum), and a scone with cream and jam. I absolutely hate jam so this element was very much left alone by me!

The cheddar sandwich just tasted like plain cheddar, I couldn’t taste the apricot at all. It was very dry. The cream cheese on the other hand was actually pretty nice, although the bread was a bit soggy on the bottom. Apologies, I took a photo of the box and then forgot to take one of the actual sandwiches so you’ll have to imagine them. 😂

Will enjoyed his own scone with cream and jam, and my donated one! They served them warm which I thought was nice.

We also got given a little Halloween chocolate before landing which was a nice touch.

I’d downloaded and pre-completed the new MPC app for arrival at MCO to try to beat some of the border control queues, so once we landed we took our photos and submitted it ready for entry. The MPC queue was very quiet but for some reason they took a while to allocate us to a lane. Regardless, it was pretty quiet in there generally and we were through in no time!

We’re currently in our Uber to Aventura - under an hour from when we landed! 😍
