I vaguely recall that we bought a stripped contract but we knew that we wouldn't need the points straight away & in fact my sister stayed on our points before we did due to DS & exams. The advantage to that is that the price/point reflects that, the owner is paying the dues & the biggy Disney very seldom ROFR a stripped contract as there's no points for them to sell

I have seen the amount of points I want on DVCforless and I put an offer in $3 less than advertised, but I got an automated response saying that as it states ‘Low and firm’ on the listing they will not consider any offers 😫😫😫
There isn’t any with the points I want at the price I would prefer ($90) maybe I am being too unrealistic and need to up my preferred price per point 😅
I am now dithering if I should pay the cost advertised or wait and see if a better deal comes up 😬😬😬
Gosh, you need nerves of steal for this 🙈🙈

Hi FT - it's difficult to know if $90 is a good price as will depend on how many points, how many points remaining from 2023 and 2024 and who is paying the 2024 Annual Dues. From my experience listings with Low but firm cannot be negotiated but keep watching as they may go down if nobody snaps them up... As others have said the ROFR forum on the other board is helpful to see what others have paid... It is stressful as once you have your offer accepted you then have to wait to see if Disney will waive ROFR so if the price is too low they may be tempted! For $3 it may be worth paying the extra if it is the Use Year/number of points etc you want or it might be worth waiting a couple of weeks till we all get the dreaded Annual Dues bills!

It's so hard to offer advice on this, but doing some maths may help you to make a decision...if it is a 100 points contract, then $3 more per point is $300, which is about £230. Obviously you can scale up for the amount of points the contract is. So, perhaps think about how worth it having the contract is for your next trip versus waiting for the year after?

Actually I am not sure it is right?
It states
2023 - 0
2024 - 91
2025 - 240
2026 - 240
Use year December
I just looked at the 240 points in 2025 and assumed I would have 240 points to use for next August but looking at the finer details its seems I would only have 91 points next year which wouldn’t be enough. Am I correct, will the 240 points only become available in December 2025?

We have a December use year and I still struggle to get my head around it.

On 1st December 2024 you will have 91 points to use by 30th November 2025. The owners have borrowed from the 2024 use year already. This means they should pay the dues on all the points used.

Just to add, you will also have access to the 240 December 2025 points as you can borrow from your next use year.

I hope this makes sense.

Their fixed offer is that the buyer pays all fees 😬

Yes that does make sense 🥰 as we (health permitting) plan to go every year we would always be borrowing wouldn’t we, which wouldn’t be ideal if we wanted to stay in a bigger accommodation to accommodate my don & his girlfriend. So I think this particular sale is not for us 🙈🙈

Walk away from it. You need on a December use year to see the full amount of Points coming this December so you can make use of them in 2025 which has always been your plan.
