If you generally tend to travel in Aug, Dec isn’t the best. The new CCV we have is Dec and the only reason I went for it was because it was cheap. But we also have an Apr UY for summer trips.

Buyers will usually always pay the closing fees, this is separate to the dues.

When we bought our resale contract I thought the December use year would be perfect as we have only ever travelled in school summer hols and the banking deadline is 31st July of the following year, so for December 2024 points thw deadline for banking is 31st July 2025. And I figured we would always know if we needed to cancel a trip and would need to bank the points by then. But it is hard to get your head around.

We always travel in July and were advised by our guide back when we bought 20 years ago that Dec use year would be best and its worked for us.
