The 80s for me as I have great memories, my kids love 80s music. I love all kinds of music, love listening to Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Coldplay. Having a 22 year old daughter keeps me young. The song and music video Back on 74 is fantastic.

There no right answer as for one person it be one decade and for some one else it be another I like music from the 40s onwards and even some before that.

Funny you should say this because my fave decade was the 60’s and then suddenly on the internet FB I think a song began playing. It was Percy Faith Endless Summer. It was sheer bliss in one way and sad in another.
I remember this song playing from my young childhood. There was something magical about it and I remember feeling it but I have no idea of why. I was little and captivated.
Listening to this randomly brought it all back to me but also made me feel nostalgic for being little with your whole life before you rather than being in the twilight years!
That’s the beauty of music.

It was the start of Music as we know it today... Oh and I'm 57 so the 80's was my teenage period especially the early part.
I was a youth in the late 80s early 90s, if you had asked me this question a few years ago I would have chosen then. Recently I have been listening to the podcast A History of rock in 500 songs (it’s not just rock), it covers a lots of the acts on your list and many more, starting in the 50s right up to this century.

I have had my ears opened to so much great music I don’t think I could narrow it down to 1 decade now.

Been doing a big gardening job on a couple of properties for a mate... have spent the last few weeks landscaping and doing shed loads of sleeper beds... so have had my trusty blue tooth speaker in tow... got a dozen or so builders (young to mid age) who during their lunch break(s) keep popping out and asking... who sings this? It's pretty good... today was a mass Motown and 60's soul festival with a smuttering of Northern Soul... got a `more of the same` request for the next few days I am on site.

I mean come on... you have to be in a coma to not tap your feet to these

Actually I must confess I have also been playing to death stuff from the 90's... mainly from the Grunge era... Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Sound garden, Temple of the Dog, Puddle of Mudd... some quite brilliant music especially the MTV Unplugged sessions.
