One of my favourite memories is our our DD with Donald Duck in Animal Kingdom. Character meet and greet and she barrels into him, nearly knocking herself out on his bill! He then signs her autograph book, has pictures and goes to move into her cousin but she is mid high fiving him. Realising she's about to be snubbed, tries to style it out...all caught on camera 🤣

From big family holidays to getting engaged in magic kingdom, Disney has been a big part of my adult life.
The very best best memory for me was taking my 2 year old DD for the first time.We met Daisy Duck, who is our favourite😍we danced, we giggled and we had the best interaction with her, it was magical! |

I have many happy family memories of Disney but I am very grateful that one of my favourites is (hopefully) an ongoing one. As some of you may know if my autumn trips coincide with the visit of Dreamflight I volunteer as a helper (sometimes it is 1 day or sometimes more). I can't begin to express how it feels to see their faces on their first day which is always Disney, be it Magic Kingdom or latterly Hollywood Studios. The younger ones are awe struck and the older "cool" ones always fall under the spell Disney brings and become big kids again.
You may wonder why I chose this above family memories - it's really quite simple - once a year I get to see the magic Disney brings (yes it is still there) to the groups of around 20 young people some of whom may never have the chance, for whatever reason, to visit with their families. My favourite Disney memory was my first visit to the Magic Kingdom, aged 6.
My mum had bought me a giant American flag that was almost as tall as I was. We rode the omnibus, and I waved my flag from the front row while we were driven down Main Street. Someone took a photograph, and my mum told me I was in my very own Disney parade. I really believed I was.

Lots of lovely memories shared! And we are lucky to have had many happy times.
The one that always sticks in my mind was when my children were picked to be the ones who opened the Indiana Jones Show! We are the family who makes sure they watch the Indy show every trip, sometimes even twice per trip! Well, this was our 2nd visit back in 2016 when my DS was 11 and DD was 9. To be precise it was Friday 5th August 2016 and it was the last show of the day and DH and I decided we needed to grab a beer before heading in 😉 so we strolled up to the entrance with about 10 minutes until showtime. And then a cast member spoke to the kids and said something like, "We've been waiting for you! How would you like to start our show?" They jumped at the chance! We were shown to VIP seats right next to the directors box. The host of the show who talks through all the action came over and had a chat with the two of them and said they had the most important job, they needed to start the show. She practiced their lines with them a couple of times so they knew what they needed to do. At the beginning of the show she invited them up on stage asked them what their names were and where they were from. Then she said it was time for them to start the show, so they both said into the microphone, "Lights, Camera, Action" It was a great experience for them! We didn't take any photos as we just wanted to watch them. We took this one of them after as they were both pretty pleased with themselves. Every time we watch it I get to relive that memory!

My favourite Disney memory, my sister trying (and failing) to get into a hammock at Caribbean Beach resort. She didn’t quite faceplant the sand, but her nose certainly skimmed the surface! That trip was full of good stuff, and a lifesaver, and that moment just always comes to mind!

My favourite memory was actually being part of the parade… We sat in front of a float, if I can remember it was a Roger Rabbit Float. I felt so important everyone looking at us. I can never forget the happiness it brought me and my family, we were so lucky to be picked. Memories are so precious and my Dad is sadly no longer with me, but I can still remember him waving like royalty.

Watching Happily Ever After for the first time with my partner. We'd been on a tough journey to get to both be in wdw and I knew that my happily ever after was on its way! We'd met on the Dibb - so Disney literally brought us togetger! He's now my husband!
