I’m flying into Tampa next time we go, we are going to stay a couple of night there to get Busch done and then head up to Orlando

We did it last year and it was a breeze to get through the airport. We hired a car and drove straight to Disney. Took about 1 hour 30 mins.

We usually just hire a car and drive to Orlando but next year we are staying down close to Anna Maria Island for 2 nights first & then heading to Disney fairly early to make the most of our check in day.

I am going via this route next January! As our flight lands at 8.00pm we are picking up our hire car and driving about 30 mins out of Tampa (Plant City) for a quick overnight stop, before heading to WDW the next morning (via an IHOP breakfast stop).

Flying into Tampa this coming May... we will be staying at the beach somewhere... we will book at airport once we know our flight is Ok... the day after we have 5 days at Pop century so didnt really want to waste a expensive disney resort night with free dining so done it this way round... will be up early AM and work our way up the scenic coastal route taking in some sights

We always fly to Tampa now since 2008. Prefer Tampa Airport it has a great hotel and isn't as busy as MCO we stay there for a night or two... Allowing us to visit Bush Gardens, Then drive to Orlando stopping off at Cracker Barrel at the half way point.
