Yes time probably of ours was a day flight we may have got the train to the centre then an Uber but it’s not overly expensive for transfer.

If you are staying in a hotel, get in touch to see if they have their own driver. We did and it was the about the same price as a taxi and took us straight to the hotel and a very personal service.

Thank you, we will look into that. At the moment we’re not sure whether we are going to have a hotel or Airbnb. DD is 24 so an Airbnb gives us more room and we find they work well in a city, but we don’t mind sharing a room in a hotel if it works out a more suitable option for us, either for price or location. I’m hoping we can have a few ideas to look at on the weekend together and possibly book them

That’s great, we’ll look into what’s available for our dates. It’s seems the riding school is closed July and August so hopefully we’ll be able to either see a show or a training session for our visit in June
On the Spanish riding thing, there are also tours. We did one February 2022, when we went last. I presume they still do them. It was a very good tour. You get up close to the horses in the stables, though no touching or anything obviously.

Thank you, that sounds really good too. We’re undecided whether to go for the show or the training session with music as both sound really good, but the training session is a lot cheaper 😀 We noticed the tour then and thought that looked interesting too

I went this time last year, another vote for Spanish riding school! Also, did horse and carriage around the city. Tea and cake in traditional cafe

[QUOTE=DisneyDaffodil;16324477]Thank you, we’ll definitely look into the bus into the city

Hi
Just to confirm, its a train, not a bus... a double decker green train, think it was called the "CAT" or such... very clean and quick - into the city
Enjoy ...

The Spanish Riding school is top of our list, DD has wanted to visit since reading a book featuring it in her childhood 💞

Thank you, don’t know why I typed bus, I knew it was a train as I thought ‘just like Florence’ 😂

We bought a 7 day travel card which took us out to Schonnbrun Palace and the zoo (but not the airport). Be careful the regular travel cards run from Monday to Sunday. So if you buy on a Friday you will only get 3 days use out of it.

We were just beginning to think that they were very trusting as after 4 days our tickets hadn't been checked once. Then we exited the station to find a ring of about 20 inspectors spot checking everyone that go off our train ... it felt quite intimidating even though we knew we had the correct tickets.
