Wokingham - What's there & restaurant recommendations

Hi

We are staying at the Premier inn this week in preparation for our Lapland UK visit. Is there much to do in the town or anywhere within a 20 minute drive or so?

Looking for a restaurant we can walk to on the evening so we can have a couple of drinks.

Thanks

You have the usual PizzaExpress, COTE, Giggling Squid, Zizzi, Another called CHALK and a Spanish one called Salty Olive. Also several Indian restaurants and loads of pubs that also do food. All in easy walking distance.

You have Bowling across the road and a swimming pool. Everyman Cinema is almost next to the Premier inn.

You can also get the train into Reading for a few quid each return if you want more. But Wokingham is nicer than Reading.

As said above, there are loads and all are child friendly, Sodero lounge (by Waitrose) is also great for kids and has a selection of games to keep them entertained, there’s also an ice cream parlour next door.

There’s also a park and soft play (pirates landing) right by the premier inn if you need the kids to burn off some energy.

We live nearby and have kids so shout if you have any questions. Enjoy Lapland UK, we’re going next month, can’t wait!
