He visited my primary school many years ago. I was chosen to read a story I had written to him. At the time I didn’t really know who he was but now I realise it was an honour, he was so lovely to everyone that day.

This guy is my literary hero. If only schools could adopt his approach, we would have a greater love of reading and many more aspiring creative writers.

We had a training session with him a few years back pre pandemic & we got into groups.
Five of us acted out a poem for him ( When I went out one day, my head fell off & rolled away etc etc) Was hilariously embarrassing, but what a honour!
