january weather

hi me and my daughter are having a little sneaky week in january as we both work for nhs and got our back pay we are both used to going in september when its hot what is the weather typicaly in mid january please anyone

It can vary wildly at that time of year.

You could have glorious hot, dry & sunny weather in the high 70’s to low 80’s wearing shorts & T’s and jumping in the pool to cool off or you could have gloomy, cold or rainy weather in the 40’s to 50’s where there might be some frost on cars in the morning & you might need jeans & sweaters.

Layers are your friend; you could have cold mornings & evenings but pleasantly warm daytime temps.

The weather forecasts in the week before you go will give a good idea of the weather you’re likely to see.

We’re going in January too and going to bring lots of layering things. Hopping it’ll be around mid 20s but whatever it is at least it’ll be warmer than home!

I’ve done January for the past two years and for the majority of my time there the weather for me has been perfect - cooler morning starts, warm days and cooler evenings.

This year being better than last year - I think there was one or two days where it was cooler all day last year but still very pleasant.
