I had fine thin hair to begin with so can’t really afford to loose much more.
I used to wear my hair really short but have grown to out over the past year or so and now I can’t see so much of my scalp. I also tend to avoid mirrors.
Hair toppers seem to be an option but any of the decent ones seem to cost quite a bit.
There are lots reviews on YouTube of different types and worth looking at.
I certainly would consider a topper and a lot of them do look really natural.
It is a bummer that it is socially acceptable for men to loose their hair, no matter how they themselves may feel about it, but not for women even though it seems to be a common problem.
I am a 65 year old male and all my life I had a really thick head of hair but suddenly started losing it in handfuls around 19 months ago [the same time that my brother got really ill, he died 5 months later] and it is now really thin, you can see the scalp quite easily. To be honest I hate it.

The doctors did a blood test and found that I was really low in Vitamin D which they said might be the cause so they put me on a high dose of Vitamin D supplements [3200 IU a day then lowered it 3 months later to 1600 IU a day]. 16 months later I am still taking 1600 IU a day [not sure what the IU stands for] and my hair is still dropping out in handfuls. I only have to comb it or towel dry it and loads comes out. They have now said that it could be stress due to my brother's death or it could be because of the stress that I have due to depression and anxiety. I am currently on a waiting list to see the Dermatologist to see what he/she says but I don't hold out much hope.

Thank you so much 😍 I'm doing SW too... Its been coming off slowly but surely... Although I have only lost 1lb since lockdown 😭 I still have a while to go.

We can do it 💪

Dunx x

Dr also told me stress is one of the most common things to add to hairloss!

I am also suffering with hair loss, I have changed shampoo and conditioner for Sulfrait free products which is supposed to help but I’m yet to be convinced

Thinning hair can be hormonal, especially thinning hair at the front and sides .I noticed slight thinning as soon as I noticed my hormones started changing, around 40 years old. I was told this later by a menopause specialist.
Since I've been on HRT I've noticed it has improved a bit
I don't know how old you are but worth considering this as a cause

Just out of interest, how many of you have naturally curly hair?
I do, I used to have a lot of fine hair, but lots of it..I hit my 40’s( now 50) and I have thin hair...it is quite sad..nothing makes you feel your age than losing your hair...😩

I am also shedding hair and have GERD (reflux) plus IBS. If you take meds for your reflux it can lower some vitamins. I take Vitamin D and B12 supplements but was still shedding. Bloodtest with GP showed anaemia/iron deficiency so now will be taking high dose iron for a month and will see if this improves my hairloss (and fatigue). If it doesn't then I will put it down to hormones/ peri-menopause (I am 49).

Me. I'm exactly the same. Curly hair but very fine. Used to have lots and lots, but less now, as I posted about earlier.

I use Plantur 39 Shampoo and have seen hair growth return, and my hair stopped thinning at the front too.
I’m not saying this will work for everyone but I have seen good positive results.
