Ebay pre- loved prices

Has anyone been on eBay lately and found the prices of pre loved items and postage to be crazy expensive ? Been looking for DKNY bags which I've always got for reasonable prices in the past

Ebay business has shot up since the pandemic. More and more people are buying from it who wouldnt have used it before (we run a ebay store for a little extra cash, since lockdown its almost matched my day job salary, from the groups im in, this is pretty much across the board). Prices have gone up as a result.

As for postage being high, this could be from a lot of new users as a long time ago you never paid fees on postage, thats why a lot of ebay sellers where selling things ridiculously cheap and putting massive postage costs on, they stopped that a long time ago and the fee is on item and postage, probably people dont know this and think they are being clever.

Just for info, sellers fees are are higher then you think (though massivly lower then owning a actual shop), paypal fees and ebay fees add up. If i bought a item for £5 and sold it for £10 (inc p&P) and it was small parcel size through royal mail (£2.95 for us as we dont sell enough for a business account) we would make 46p.

My DD has sold loads of stuff on e-bay since March and has been quite surprised how much people are willing to pay for items of all descriptions.
