Last week in august euro disney

Hi

Considering booking our first trip to euro disney in the last week of august, for 4 nights staying onsite. ( we have only ever been to Florida)

Would be traveling with a 6 year old and a 18 month old.

What is the weather like usually at the end of august in eurodisney.

What would the que's be like for the end of august does the crowds ease off like they do in America.

We are stuck at going schools holidays as husband works in a school.

Many thanks.

Please please please, just call it Disneyland Paris :-)

Sorry can't help on the other questions, other than Paris is only a bit south of London, so won't be too much different to typical London weather in August

We’ve been twice at this time of year & going again this year from 26th-30th. 2014 weather was lovely & warm but 2016 was boiling hot! Nearly 40 degrees but there was a heatwave then so not the norm! I found the crowds to be fine though I think last year it seemed busier from reading other people’s views ws on here. It definitely won’t be as busy as the beginning of August so I think it will be fine. Parks are open late till 11pm in Disneyland park, & WDS is usually 9pm.

We went two summers ago. Mid August. Weather was nice although it was quite cold one day. We had hoodies and shorts but would have been happier in jeans. The other days it was lovely and warm.

We didn’t find it too busy. Obviously it’s August so it wasn’t deserted but we managed to ride everything we wanted by using fast pass.

We went end of Aug Mon to Fri a few years back. Weather was boiling and I found it very busy, but staying on site using the extra magic hours and fast passes we did everything we wanted to do. Also found going on rides during parade or later in the evening to be a lot quieter.

We’ve had August trips to DLP where temperatures have been in the 30’s, and others where it’s been more variable. We do like late August

On one trip in July it was practically wet and cold the whole time. Wasn’t pleasant, we still enjoyed our trip.

Staying on site combined with extra magic hours does give greater flexibility, especially with small children. I’m sure you’ll have a lovely trip.

We were there last yr second from last wk in august and all but our last day was hot not overly so thankfully. Our last day the heavens opened and there were floods throughout the parks and the hotel car parks. The water had got over our front grill on our car at one point (leaves and pine needles stuck up that high) we have a Mazda cx5 so not a low car. Was horrendous as it pretty much shut everything down. Buzz ride had rain pouring in through the roof! Felt more like a floridian rain storm lol. Definitely not the norm!

Well, first you have to jump in the TARDIS and go back before 2002, as Eurodisney hasn't existed since then...

Sorry!

August in Paris can be oppressively hot. Also, traditionally Parisians take the whole of August as their holiday, and many of them end up in DLP.

Add into that the fact that the Spanish are off school until mid-September (which caught us out last year, we stayed early September and found it really busy!)

Have you had a look at May half term? I don't think French and Spanish schools tend to be off then (you'll need to check though) and it should be nice Spring weather without being too hot.

The weather will be the same as here and it will likely be very busy.

There is a calendar (can't remember where but I'm sure you can google it) which shows you the main school holiday dates in Europe. Avoid French bank/ national holidays if at all possible. I got caught out once and it was pretty awful.

We went in late August 2016 and it was 37 degrees every day. We still loved it, but the sun was pretty relentless and my daughter got nose bleeds from the heat, so we had to spend as much time indoors / finding shade as possible.

There was torrential rain and floods on the same date last year, so one extreme to another!

We’re going in May half term this year - I guess the park will still be packed with UK families, but hopefully the weather might be a little more manageable.
