Mobile Best first car for DD18

Hi dibbers

Just wondering if anyone can advise on a first car for DD.
She is taking lessons at the moment and likes a C1 or Peugeot 107, we do have a Manchester postcode so we know insurance will be a bit dearer.
What car does your youngest drive, it will have to be an automatic.

Thanks for any advice.
Thanks

My daughter drives a Fiesta, perfect size for a first car.

DD has a 63 plate Toyota Aygo
Has had it for 4 years and has been a great wee car with reasonable insurance price

This is my Daughters first car too. It feels way safer than all of the small cars we tried too. There are some tin cans on wheels out there and we wanted something more sturdy for her

We bought a 107 for Ds. Mainly because it's an insurance group 3. Fiestas were 8-10, as was the i10.
Other options for us with a low insurance group were the VW fox.. We looked at c2 but they're all pretty old now. We got a 12, plate 107 with 50k for about £2k. Options were limited for us as this was in lockdown.

DD had a Toyota Yaris and kept it for 9 years. She loved it. Ds had a Citroen C3 and was a nightmare from the word go.
