Photography Question
I'm not sure if I'm missing something here...but why does everyone seem to hire a photographer when there's photography included in the Disney wedding packages?
I'm hoping it's because add on's are expensive and not because the Disney photographers are rubbish?!? |

Not a disney bride but I think the reason most go for other photographers is due to what style they like in a photographer. Weddings pics mean a lot for some people so they choose a photographer who they like. With disney photography you can't pick who you want for your pictures. you can put in a preference which isn't always guaranteed. Brides don't want a will I won't I get this photographer moment on their wedding day. There have also been reports of inconsistencies with some disney photographers so brides just go with outside photographers

I've hired a photographer because as you mentioned the add on's for are quite expensive for our package. We just get a hour, which I don't think is enough, so by the time I've added another hour of photography, and then buy the disk of our images it is more expensive. Also, whilst a lot of the Disney photographers are very good, I have seen examples of some that are not. I'm not willing to take the risk of getting that dodgy photographer as on my package you can't request a specific person.

Hmmm thanks, I think I'm probably too late to book anyone myself now for October...
I'm VERY laid back about my wedding BUT I do obviously want some amazing photographs. |

Never too late to make a booking. Take a look at the vendor list in the pinned posts and there's some photographers in the list

I'm looking in to it... I'll let you know how I get on
One other question though... What do you do with the existing package photography? Have two photographers on the day (I definitely wouldn't want this)? or use it in some other way? |
