Mobile Please help - Lastminute have cancelled our flight

Hi I've just had an email from lastminute.com with new flight details - a month to go and they've apparently cancelled our long Virgin flight home (second leg of our indirect flight) and booked us onto one 24 hours later so we d got a 1 day stopover in Detroit? Obviously this is unacceptable - Ben is on the phone waiting to speak to someone but does anyone have any advice or what we can do? I'm so angry!

Oh no what a nightmare and I'm not surprised you are angry.
I would suggest that you take a look and see what suitable flights are available. I think sometimes it's easier if you tell them what you want.

Oh no what a worry for you. Don't panic though, you've got time to sort it out. Can't offer any further advice sorry, hope it gets sorted soon.

We've had this happen before - last minute should be able to help with alternative routes - it took them a day or two to sort us with an acceptable alternative

Thanks everyone. Literally livid. Completely unacceptable behaviour. They're going to call me back by Thursday morning at the latest with alternatives. They better be good! What if they can't offer any though? We can't afford to rebook on our own as the flights are really expensive one way I guess we could cancel the whole thing and then rebook.. Oh I really don't need this stress

Check if there is availability on one of the direct routes home, or an indirect route that is acceptable to you, using the lastminute website. Whatever it is, you phone and follow up in writing to tell them that this is the alternative that you want, and that as there is availability for it, this is the flight you want to be put on. Be clear that you want to be back the same day you booked and paid for. Good luck.

I can totally understand how stressful this is but I'm sure you'll get it sorted out.
Take a look at other options available on Lastminute.com as you may need to make suggestions to them for an alternative flight based on what is available.
You shouldn't have to do this as they should do this themselves but if you are like me, you'll want to take a bit of control of the situation
As I say, I'm sure if will be fixed for you so try and stay relaxed

have you checked if the flight you were supposed to be on is still available ? does it still have seats , if so lastminute need to explain why you are not on it!

Ah this is the last thing you need, especially for this trip. I agree with PP, look on their site and see if there's anything that would be acceptable to you and tell them that's what you want.

Thats unreal, I really feel for you but thank god its not your outward flight...not that it's acceptable at all but I can only imagine issues with the flight to get there would be even more concerning given its for your big day.

Be aware that Last Minute is part of the same group as Edreams and Bravofly, and neither have a very good reputation. Hope you get it sorted.
