TUI/Marella Discovery 2

Hi, has anyone been on this ship? We've just come back from a Royal Caribbean cruise on Oasis of the Seas, so when we got back we wanted to book another cruise. We wanted to do a cruise with a few different ports, so we saw this one which goes to Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Cayman and then second week to Colobia, Panama, Costa Rica (can't wait to see some sloths!). We have been with Thomson/TUI years ago and obviously the ships aren't as big as Royal Caribbean but this looks like a good cruise. Just wondering if anyone has been on it?

Been on the Discovery and Discovery2 good value cruise if you can get a good price just back from a caribbean cruise on the Discovery had a great holiday we got a last minute bargain and only paid £1150pp 14nts all inclusive flying in and out of Barbados both ships are fine the food is nice entertainment ok not as good as the bigger ships, all inclusive drinks are good we upgraded to premium for an extra £50pp per week well worth it, the staff on both ships were great , I would go on either ship again but only if the price is right if I was spending alot of money I would choose one of the bigger ships.

If you don't mind me asking, did you book direct with the cruise line or cruise rep? Just wanting to get a last minute deal in May but not sure where to look 👀

Booked online Tui website , wouldn't book in store they always charge more , prices always going up and down we paid £1150pp for the caribbean 14 nts other people had paid £2000pp, both discovery ships are all inclusive and tips are also included so good value if you get a good price , have always found that prices seem to go up at the weekend so check mid week .

We went on Discovery2 last year, and really enjoyed it, but had only one other cruise with P&O with which to compare.

We loved our cabin on Discovery2 (much more space than P&O Oceana), and found plenty of enjoyable restaurant / snack options for a week - not sure if it would get a bit less appealing for two weeks, but I guess that would be the same on any ship). Entertainment was ok, with a couple of better evenings balanced against a couple of less enjoyable ones.

" saw this one which goes to Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Cayman and then second week to Colobia, Panama, Costa Rica "

We're also looking at this one for this winter!
