Hotel / parking at Southampton
Can anyone recommend a good hotel (possibly with a weeks parking included) for the night before our cruise.

We have stayed in most of theme over the years. The Holiday Inn is right on the key and often includes parking, but depending on which terminal you are sailing from you will still need a taxi. (sometimes included in price).
Novotel is fine. Premier inn is newest but no parking, you have to leave car in multi storey for the night and arrange parking. Some of the outlying hotels include parking but you need a transfer. We stayed in a lovely country hotel a few miles short of Southampton once and just drove in to our pre arranged parking, that was nice. To be honest, although it is expensive we prefer the valet parking at the port as when we come off the ship with a long journey ahead of us the last thing we want is to faf about with taxi's/shuttle buses. Another thing that makes for an easier journey home - fill up your car with fuel before you get on the ship so no having to fill up after disembarking or at expensive motorway places.

We usually stay in a Premier Inn the night before and then use a parking space from the Just Park website. The ones we select are about a 5-10 min taxi ride from the port. Sometimes the owner of the parking space drops us off at the port.
Our next one week cruise from Southampton is in May - Premier Inn £32, Just Park £28. |

I think we are going to go to Brighton after the cruise so fortunately not straight into a long drive. I quite fancied the Holiday Inn but they don’t appear to have any family rooms available.

That was harder than I expected but we’ve ended up with a Premier inn but not the one by the port as it was sold out. Just need parking now.

We use AB Parking, which did have 10%, have gone through holiday extras before now for port parking.
