Anyone transferred cruise to US travel agent or Costco

Anyone transferred cruise to US travel agent or Costco
Hi not sure if asked before but I’m reading that US people often book with Disney then transfer it to Costco or another agent and get say $250 + onboard credit. Apparently it has to be done within 60 days.
Has anyone done this is it worth calling Costco in USA and trying?

Hi have never transferred to Costco, but have transferred to a US agent before and received extra onboard credit.
I usually book my next cruise onboard and Disney transfers my booking to my agent who manages my booking and adds extra onboard credit.

Just to jump on this thread- can you still transfer a cruise to a US agent if you have booked in £s? I have a booking in £s and wondered if I could transfer it over to a TA to get the benefits?

I'm afraid not. You have to pay in dollars for a US TA.

I don't think UK residents can transfer to Costco either, I believe you have to be a US resident. Worth double checking though.

I booked and paid in $ last week too. Would love to hear how you get on with this as I could do the same.

Only thing I do know is if you transfer, rather then book direct with the TA, the OBC is usually reduced as the TA doesn't get their full commission.

True true true, well done for remembering that - I forgot as I always just book direct with the TA.

I emailed a TA recommended on here who says they'll give credit and 3 days later no reply. Not impressed. Anyone have someone who does this who is reliable? Ta
