Alamo pick up but not an Airport
Hi all
We are travelling 21st August flying into Tampa and staying 3 nights at Cabana Bay and 2 nights at rpr before heading to a villa the original plan was to hire a car for the full 3 weeks Tampa to Tampa but having at look at Parking prices at Universal hotels ( we wont use the car at all whilst at Universal) it would just be to get from the Airport to walmart then onto Cabana Bay Now a few things to consider My plan was to book a Full Size SUV in hopes of getting an 8 seater ( we are 2 adults 6 children aged between 12-2) if not we will (up-down) grade to either a Sienna or 12 seater a sienna from Tampa to Hyatt Regency is £51 for 24 hours then a Full size Suv is £698 from Hyatt Regency to Tampa for 26th Aug-11th Sept, meaning a saving of almost £100 when you factor in Parking etc My questions being Does Hyatt Regency have a decent selection of Car choice? Is there anywhere better around Universal/Disney i could pick up a better choice of Car? Should i just stick with the original plan? Thanks for reading if you got this far

We've never been able to chose car when picking up from hotel offices. Just been given a car.
I think you can only chose at certain airport locations.

The driver could take an Uber to the airport by themselves, pick the car and return for the rest. That way you get the saving & choice for the cost of an Uber $30-$40

This is exactly what I'm doing. Won't need the car while at RPR and Cabana Bay so I'm getting an Uber to MCO to pickup from Alamo once we are done at Universal. The family can have one last hour in Universal while I'm away and I can pick whatever car I want and not be rushed into a choice.
The fare estimator for an Uber X is only $23: uber/en-GB/fare-estimate/
