Rules about vest tops in LA

Does anyone else know anything about the rules on wearing vest tops at the malls? Even for men

I had to Google what a vest top was since I�m an American and it�s not a phrase we use. I see what you mean now- we call those tank tops here. There is no guideline for wearing them in LA, they are common attire in southern CA with all the warm weather we get. We Californians are pretty laidback and will wear vest tops just about anywhere, including the malls. The only places you may not see people wearing them is at a high-end restaurant or to the theater.

Never had an issue before myself but I was told that there is some article that someone got turned away at a mall for wearing vest/tank and shorts. the lady had even shopped for the clothing in that mall. But I can�t find the article.

I�ve been in loads of malls in LA and worn vest tops and never had a issue
