Immigration into USA
Can anyone explain to me what happens when we come back from our cruise at Miami, is there a separate immigration channel from non USA people and how big is the queue normally?

I can tell you what happened when we did this, but it was five years ago?
If there was a queue it was tiny, basically just walked up to a desk, waved the passport at them and that was that. There did seem to be many more people on the US side but even that wasn't too bad. Very quick and easy.

You are merely passing back into USA. They do this on the Disney Cruises all the time. Quite informal.

Thanks for the reply. I was expecting to have the full immigration checks, photo, finger print etc just like arriving at MCO.

We arrived back into Miami last October and we literally walked through, they glanced at out passport but that was about it.
Sailing back into Tampa was a different matter though, all non USA residents had to be in the theatre at some ungodly hour, 6am or there a outs and we all got our own interview! No finger prints though!
