Pismo beach hotels?

Hi I’m still planning our hols for Aug 2020, can anybody recommend hotels for family of 5 in Pismo beach? Was originally looking at Madonna inn but open to other recommendations, a family suite would be good as we are 4 adults 1 child. Thanks!

We stayed at the Lighthouse Suites in 2016, in a family suite. It was quite expensive, but I loved having the space for a couple of night on our road trip. I did a trip report if its any help

We have booked the cottage inn now but we did have lighthouse suites booked before which I think would be perfect for a bigger family.

We stayed at Cottage Inn and it was a lovely small resort and right by the beach, not sure though if they could sleep 5

We stayed at the Shell Beach Inn and it was absolutely dreadful. However, I saw on Facebook recently that they have reopened with new owners and a full refurbishment so it might be worth looking at.

We stayed at Cottage Inn by the Sea which was lovely. Not sure if any rooms sleep 5 though

We stayed 1 night at The Sea Venture. We had a regular room and it was fine. Served the purpose of a good place for the night. It was right on the beach, maybe a 5/10 min walk along to the town. We didn’t eat in it so can’t comment , but if I remember correctly I picked it due to reading a trip report that Geoffa had done.

We stayed at Inn on the Pier and it was lovely

We stayed at the lighthouse suites and got the price much cheaper by talking to them on live chat. We only booked two weeks before we went as we had to change our plans due to the fires which resulted in Yosemite being closed. I would definitely recommend the lighthouse suites, it was handy that breakfast was included in the price.
