Disney world 50th
Any ideas / rumours on what and how long they will last for ? Last time I believe it lasted 18 months.
Just looking at planning next visit 😄 |

No idea but from what I have read they sort of start around the 50th date itself and then continue. We are going August 2021 and think we miss them.

Its my 50th Birthday in the September 2021 and my dream to spend it in Orlando. Not sure if this is a good month to visit or when the official celebrations are so am following this too!

We went to the 25th anniversary which I think was on the day it opened - October? Then it carried on at least a year afterwards.
The day itself was massive. We queued to get in at least an hour or more before the park opened and there were events all day, including seeing Michael Eisner opening the event with Walt’s living relatives at the time, I think his nephew and daughter. We remember it well and it was worth going!

I remember going on the 15th anniversary and won a prize on entry as the 1000th person that day to enter!

If it runs on the same lines it would start Oct 2021 and run right through to December 2022 |

I was thinking of September 2022 if the celebrations last that long if not then end of April beginning of May 2022.
I presume we might get an idea in April when they release any offers ie free dining for 2021 |

Thank you so much for starting this thread!
We are now changing our dates as it started a conversation amongst the family. I celebrate my 50th but, DD is working on the census so she will struggle to get a large chunk of time off during 2021. So we have now decided to save up even more and go for 2022.  We might squeeze in a DLP trip next year (7 visits to DLP so far) Edit: My countdown is back up to 1127 days! 😳 It'll be worth it! I hope that Disney lets us know well in advance so that we can all decide what and when we want to go.
I wonder if there will be different offers at that time as well and would not be surprised if there was no free dining on offer |
