Best way to make use of magic hours?
Just trying to gather some info, which rides/attractions get the biggest queues outside of magic hours?

Dumbo. Do it first, it has no fastpass and will have a queue by 9am (ie 2nd hour of EMH).
Peter Pans flight and Buzz Lightyears lazer blast are also popular rides in the main park day, but both have fastpass. The Peter Pan FP line works well and really does cut down your wait time, but if Buzz is busy even with fastpass you could be waiting 20 minutes to ride (the FP line takes you to the start of the indoor wait queue for Buzz, and you're still a fair distance from the ride at that point). Generally speaking, if you want to make the most of EMH, get there for 8am. The first hour of EMH is always quieter than the second. |

Dumbo and Peter Pan, then Buzz, then Space Mountain. Then I would say do the others in Discoveryland (Orbitron and sometimes Autopia I think) and head back to Fantasyland for Carousel and Teacups, and Pinocchio and Snow White if open. We usually get there at 8 and can do all these by about 9.30 (although we usually go in term time).
Last time was Feb half term with friends, and by 9am the queue for Dumbo was 45 min long!

If I remember rightly we did Dumbo, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, and Space Mountain early on in Disneyland Parc. Then in Disney Studios we did the big ones first Crush's Coaster had a really long wait as did ToT.
Around mid-afternoon we would have our main meal in the park we were in or go out to Disney Village for a while. If in Disneyland Parc we went back in the evening to do more rides and found the queues were very short, particularly POTC and Phantom Manor. |
