Gulf Coast destination suggestions

We flew in and out of Tampa many times, it’s a great airport, easy to get out and back into and never long queues. Can’t remember the distance between Tampa and AMI but driving down to Ft Myers around 2 hours (easy road - all 1-75 Highway)
Ft Myers also has its own airport with indirect flights from UK (United, AA all fly into there - RSW)

That’s great to know, thanks. For some reason I thought the Fort Myers -Tampa drive was longer than 2 hours.

We have stayed in Treasure Island twice. Great location on Madeira beach and close to St Johns pass. Always found it cheaper than other areas, maybe because it doesnt seem as classy. More relaxed
