Desk chair recommendation

Hi!

Anyone have a recommendation for a good desk chair for your back?

I work from home and I'm developing a bad back from my chair, as its not very supportive.

I have around 200 pound to spend from work.

Thanks

If I was to buy one today, it would be one of the mesh backed chairs.

It would have to have as a minimum:

Height adjustment
Arms with height adjustment
Back adjustment
Adjustable lumbar support

Headrest would be something to consider, depending on whether you feel you would benefit from one.

Maybe something like wayfair/furniture/...?piid=45367436

The Markus from IKEA is a great office chair. Offers great support and comfort for a reasonable price:

Move your key board, screen & mouse.

Change the angle of your attack and you might immediately notice relief without a new chair.

I use an Herman Miller Aeron chair and have done since 2000 - the year I got it and it’s perfect - I have a “Cornish pasty” add on I sometimes need for added lumbar support but its the best but of kit on the market (in my view)

A £1k chair is not quite aligned to a £200 budget though is it.

I was trying to be helpful rather than sarcastic

They are available pre-owned I am sure ... and one shouldn’t put a price on good posture (or good manners)

you can pick up reasonably priced second hand models... £200 would probably get one on ebay/gumtree with local collection... £300ish would get one from a refurb place delivered

i have a BMA axia plus operators chair... costs around £1500 to buy new, but i got mine in perfect condition off ebay for £100 (collection only from ~40 miles away) - the chair is now 7 years old and still almost as good as new (apart from the plastic on the armrests cracking)

with all the businesses closing down recently, and offices moving more to remote working, theres a LOT of good quality chairs being sold off cheap if you spend a bit of time searching

*edit*
found within seconds on ebay:

Fab thanks! I will have a look. Yeah 1k is a little out of my budget, but I don't mind a second hand one
