I'm not sure but I would want it to be something that left everyone feeling better rather than something depressing.
I will insist that the entire song is played though - it irks me at funerals when they fade the song out as it gets to the good bit  .

One of the songs we played at my step Dad’s funeral was, “These are the days of our lives”, by Queen. Beautiful and poignant song.
