The week after Christmas - which days for Universal?

We are landing Christmas Eve and planning on going to Seaworld on Christmas Day as we have been before. It was quite good until about lunchtime when we left. We have annual passes for Universal so would like to go there in the week after Christmas - how busy is it? I have studied the wait time history and it looks quieter on NYE - do most people go to the Disney parks then? We won't have express passes.

I've done my planning with the DIBB busy day guide and the undercover tourist one, both have agreed that IOA and US are recommended for New years eve, we are doing sea world on new years eve and have DC booked for crimbo day.

I'm expecting everything to be very busy, anything less will be a bonus.

Undercover tourist and busy day guide here don't seem to agree most of the time for Universal Parks. Looking at last years crowd levels to get an idea

We visited Orlando from 28 Dec 2017 - 11 Jan 2018... it was easily the busiest time we’d ever been (previous visits in May, June, August, Sept and Oct) .

We did Legoland on NYE as they do an earlier celebration (8pm based on KST kids standard time) with the full brick drop, countdown, fireworks etc and we had 2 young ones who wouldn’t have made midnight at Disney or universal. Park was very reasonable in terms of capacity and it was an amazing day.

If you’re prepared (as if it were summer) it’s not unmanageable and there is nothing quite like Xmas and NY in Orlando, I’m so glad we did it xx
