1 day at Universal Hotel for express pass?
Hi
Forgive me if this question has been answered . We’re staying off property on a short 5 day break. The plan is to do Hhn followed by one day at Universal and Ioa (both parks in one day - tickets bought) We were thinking about buying my daughter an express pass ( this is her day really) I wondered about buying one night in the cheapest of the three premiere hotels. If we go to hhn on the 2nd November - stay that one night - would we get express passes for the next day - is that how it works ? Thanks |

Yes - but you'd actually get express passes for both days!

you get express passes from check in to check out
so book RPR for the day you have HHN, you can check in as early as 6:30am and get early admission as well as express for your HHN day, if you have a regular ticket for that day too. Note that the express pass granted by the room stay is NOT valid during HHN then the next day, you'll still have the express passes, as well as early admission (if you manage to wake up early after HHN) you'll just have to vacate the room by 11am so store your stuff with bell services or in the boot of the car (note there will be a charge of $25 + tax for the night to park at the hotel) express passes are now your room key |

We did this last time. Get up early and checked into HRH before 8am. They stashed our bags for us and we got our front-of-line passes and were off into the parks. Spent the evening relaxing around the pool and at HRC then checked out next morning before going back to Universal.
Will be doing it again this time too. |

Hi,
As Chmurf (brilliant name btw!) has said, the express pass benefit isn't applicable for HHN , you'd need a specific HHN express pass for the evening you go. What we have done in the past is: Check in v early 6.30/7 for our night at RPR/HRH depending on which one we've booked Stash our stuff with the baggage service & head to the parks Cane both Universal/IOA for all they are worth then head back to the pool & watch a movie at the pool or something Next day we have a more relaxed day, check-out & spend a bit less time in the parks then come back earlier to the pool (which you can still use even though you've checked out) That night we go to HHN using the hotel guest entrance because we still have your room key Then we drive/uber to wherever we're staying & flake out With your own situation you might prefer to do HHN whilst you're staying at the hotel, the main benefit of this is that you can walk back in 10-15 mins when you are tired as opposed to waiting for an uber or navigating the traffic. I don't know if you've been before but you'll have a great time, Universal, HHN in particular is such good fun! The atmosphere is something else. Have fun! |
