We've got some for this year, the floor gets so hot sometimes and you can see people who have them wondering why you haven't.

Personaly I use flip flops as I find the water shoes very bad quality and never last me more than a day or two before the soul comes out.
I have never had a problem with the bottom of pools others have said about so realy don't see the need for the water shoes, just pop the flip flops on for when the ground is to hot. |

fIf interested: Lidl have some on offer, if remember rightly, in their weekly offers starting Thursday. Think they had kids & adult ones on offer, around £3.50 (kids) -£4.50-£5.00 for adults.
Definately going to have a look a them myself, can't imagine that they will be the height of fashion but it's our 1st time to Florida & from what I read here on the DIBB, I might be thankful for them when we go to the Water Parks! |

my husband bought some while we were there in May, he said they are so comfortable, when he bought them it had on the label these are not shoes these are sandals, he was told by the shop assistant men even go swimming with them on as they dry within minutes of getting out of the water

I'll either get some pool shoes (I think my Aquatica ones lasted 3 years) or I'll just wear my flip flops. I need to have them, not so much in the pools, but I can get athletes foot quite easily from standing water, at least by wearing pool shoes or flip flops it reduces that risk, it also stops my feet getting burned.
I always chuckle at the people who are diving between the shaded spots, because the ground is too hot to walk on. |

Water shoes are a must love the ones above! As others have said floor can be rough and hot - not nice on the feet at all. But for peoples info if they come across this they are not on general sale when "out of season" in the Disney parks. We went in September and managed to get some from the back.

I don't worry personally. There's something so wonderfully british about running in-between bits of shade going 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow', 'Ow' under your breath.

An absolute must. First time I did a water park the bottom of my feet looked like they had been slashed with a knife, not so deep they bled but enough to make them very sore. It's been swim shoes ever since, also keeps verrucas at bay.
