Split stays with disney couldn't be any simpler. We get up in the morning, drop our cases at bell services and head to the parks. We check in at our new resort and bell services bring the cases to us.
We love to try out new resorts and this is a way of doing our fav an a new one

Yep we did Caribbean Beach Resort, then Art of Animation and we also added a couple of nights with Animal Kingdom (DVC). Was awesome.

No drama with regards to the cases, we had already planned really with packing cases for each resort as there was some clothes planned for specific days so we knew what we were doing.

Just packed a small case for our AK Resort stay, we were already staying in AOA at same time so all the other items were left there.

Was just a case of throwing the used clothes back in the case it came from anyway.

We always do a split stay now - just wouldn't seem the same without doing so.

1) We want to stay in each and every Disney and DVC Resort - not many to go now!

2) Must have at least 1 night in a Universal Hotel for FOL

3) Must have at least 2 nights at Vero beach

It's become second nature to us now but won't suit eveyone.

We did it once.
7 nights at Pop Century and 5 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter.
We lost a day as we didn't go to the parks when we moved (we should've but due to inexperience at the time, we waited)and waited ages for our luggage at POFQ.

We wished we'd stayed at the Pop century as we preferred it but were glad of the experience at POFQ.
We decided a split stay wasn't really worth it for us unless you had a 3 week holiday OR unless you made full use of your time!

ROLL FORWARD a few years and we are now DVC members who have holidayed for approx 2 weeks every year for past 4/5 years at AK Villas at Easter.
We prefer staying in 1 base.

BUT
Last year, we felt we needed a change.

SO NEXT YEAR
We're booking Cabana Bay at Universal for 1 week, then onto OKW for another week with free DDP, then on to AK Villas for another week booked through DVC points.

Very different accommodations and experiences.
Haven't stayed at Universal or done free dining yet, so looking forward to it.

We normally travel 'light' so will pack for about 8/9 days and just do 1 or 2 washes when we arrive at OKW and before we leave OR when we arrive at AK Villas.

Should keep us going then!

You'll have an amazing time no matter if you split your stay or not!
