A few Old Key West questions

We stayed in a one bed villa, requested a top floor room hoping it would be quieter, but unfortunately hadn't taken into account the next door neighbours! Was surprised how much we could hear from the family next door, the first morning they were here, we actually thought they were in our living room. Could even hear a full telephone conversation on speaker phone to grandma. Thankfully they only had a 5 night stay! And it's just the luck of who is in the room next, below or above you and if they consider others around them.
Other than that - would recommend OKW to anyone. It's nice to get away from the manic of the parks, but still be at disney.
Also, I think you could do without a car, unless you wanted to shop every other day. The cost of a hire car compared to a couple of taxis probably isn't that different.
