Rudeness is often taken differently, maybe he was just short with her.
My mum would have paid for the journey but she only had enough money for her original fare. She doesnt have contactless cards as she had a card stolen and has now asked for normal bank cards.
I dont think she should just get a free ride but the driver saying he didnt have time was ridiculous. He could have just said Im sorry but I have CCTV on the bus and cant take you. She waited there as someone else was waiting.
I know people moan about pensioners on buses but I can honestly say it keeps my mum going and she would be lost without her bus pass. She chats to everyone on the bus and it gets her out in the mornings.
As for the head of the bus company, all I wanted to know is if it is a temporary stop or not and he just deleted and blocked me. I was only asking a genuine question and letting him know a driver was rude to her. If I was rude Timmy customers like that I would probably get a written warning.
I guess it just upsets me if people are rude my mum as she will do anything for anyone.

Maybe you need to make a complaint through the proper channel

Gorleston lady here! I agree with you. Some of the drivers are really grumpy and curt and they brake at the last minute and if you don't hold on you go flying down the aisle. Some are lovely and say "good morning". It's a pity the group have blocked you. It's in their own interest to keep their customers happy.

Some drivers are so rude!
Once oh and I ran for a bus at market gates, the driver looked at us running then closed the doors as soon as we got there and drove off! I have seen this with other people as well.

If your mum wants to leave it, then move on.
You will just make it worse for your mum if you carry on with this as she will need to be involved for evidence etc. You, as a third party, cant really proceed with the complaint without her involvement.

I am going to leave it, I dont want us to be banned from the buses.
I am a public transport supporter, I cycle or use buses as much as possible but rudeness is uncalled for.

id have probably left it too, but after deleting your comments from facebook, id complain. not so much about your mothers incident but about the appalling customer service they have shown.
