I’m going solo, so it was just the one return flight to rebuy. Decided to pay the £550 with BA. I’m fortunate that it’s not a huge sum of money if I lose it so made sense to me to pull the trigger early. I think ITV news are a credible enough source for me to act on.
It’s a gamble and obviously everyone’s circumstances are different so take the risk you’re comfortable with, not anyone else.

just popped the news on before bed (itv) and they’ve said that thomas cook are going into administration? other news outlets still reporting about talks. nearly choked on my hot chocolate.

Don't try to turn into another Brexit thread. We could say how a well run company, Jet 2 recently announced record profits. Or the 1.4 bn of debt TC couldn't service. Or the fact people flying abroad went up in 2017 and only down 1% in 2018- but 75% of TCA customers are European!

Somebody on the TC Facebook page said that Thomas Cook have announced it themselves on twitter. I’ve asked her to share a link to it as I don’t do twitter. Anyone seen anything on there or is she just making it up?

We are in Portugal just now, package holiday with Thomas Cook but the flights were Easyjet. Due to fly home Wed evening, not sure what to do other than keep eye on the updates in news

I’m not sure how you go about it but pretty sure you will be able to get a refund from CC company.

There was a statement which did appear to be from their official twitter account, however apparently it was deleted seconds later

Such sad news .. was hoping for a different outcome. All those poor people that have lost their jobs... and poor people that will have to change their holiday plans..
