Hello everyone.

After a long 9 days, Izzy was finally discharged from hospital yesterday, though we’re back on Thursday for the next round of immunotherapy.

For much of the time in hospital, Izzy wasn’t well enough to even look at her phone, so it was a massive (lovely) surprise for her, to look at the Justgiving page this morning to see it not only was at 90% of the target, but how many lovely, kind Dibbers had donated to this cause.

Isabel’s palliative nurse from Claire House has already been out to see her today to take bloods ready for treatment on Thursday.

Her named nurse from the Teenage Cancer Trust sees or speaks to her almost daily, and the Teenage and Young Adult unit we’ve been on within Clatterbridge, which is funded by the TCT has made the last few weeks more bearable with the facilities it provides.

Both these charities provide something that families faced with a diagnosis of a child with cancer, like ourselves, need: emotional support, 24 hour medical help, people who understand the system and can signpost and provide explanations, all whilst you are trying to come to terms with your world falling apart.

Many heartfelt thanks to the wonderful DIBB family for all your support and prayers.
